Back then, getting fiction on the net was laborious. Everyone was on dial- up and files larger than 4. K took forever to download, so we could only offer The Goliath in individual, short chapters, with its art presented on separate pages. Fortunately, file size is not such a problem anymore, so now we can present the novel and its art in its entirety. Many people helped to get The Goliath on the Web at a time when people where highly suspicious of trusting their fiction to this new medium. First, and foremost, was its author and artist, Suzan Lovett, who allowed us to post all her fiction while most of it was still in print. Suzan's generosity encouraged other writers to trust the archive. We would like to thank Suzan for her generosity in making this terrific story and all her fiction so available to the fandom. We would also like to thank Paula Smith, The Goliath's original editor, who graciously gave permission to allow us to use her name and foreword, so that the zine could be presented as it was originally.
